Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit and place a registered a Child Care Home Manager in the partnered Residential Home located in Mid Cornwall.

 This could be the ideal role for you if you have previous Senior Supervisory/Management experience, or maybe you are a Senior Field Care Supervisor looking for the next step in your career. if you are passionate about providing the highest quality homecare, then I would love to hear from you!

Deputy's Role Is

  • to positively support the manager in providing leadership to the administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance functions of the service; to deputize for the function of the Registered Manager during their absence, while at all times supporting the decisions made by the manager. You would be required to maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
  • To manage the service in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practice, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time with the Registered Provider.
  • Ensure Residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
  • The efficient and effective day-to-day management of the human resources involved in providing care through the staff team and ensuring that the required standards are maintained
  • Ensuring all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date
  • To ensure all staff receive formal supervision and appraisals Oversee the duty rota monthly in advance ensuring the correct skills and numbers on duty
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

You will be participating in on-call rota. Deputy's role is never same on any given day; therefore ability to multitask is important.

Minimum qualification of QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care, or relevant Management qualification is preferred. Preferably someone who has started or is looking at starting their Level 5. Previous experience as a Manager/Deputy/Senior Supervisor in a care home service is also preferred. Knowledge of recruitment processes & training/development in a care setting. Passion for the sector, high standards and excellent leadership skills. Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
