Religious Studies Teacher

A comprehensive school in Caerphilly Is looking for a teacher of Religious Studies to join them in September. Although plans were in place to welcome the new teacher after the Easter term, the current school closures have caused them to reassess when it would be best to have a new member of staff begin, given the disruption to pupils and schools at present.

The school is situated in Hengoed and although initially teachers might experience some challenging behaviour, the pupils are very loyal and respectful to their teachers once they understand they are there for the duration. This current post has seen two teachers come and go since September for personal reasons which means there has been significant inconsistency to the pupils learning.

Is working tirelessly under new headship to improve attitudes towards learning

Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience teaching up to KS5, however those with strong KS3 & 4 experience will be considered. Any additional skills teaching other humanity subjects would also be highly desirable

GBP120- GBP160 daily rate depending on negotiations with the school

Full time R.E Timetable, however some classes may be moved to KS3 humanities subjects (this will be no more than two hours a week)

Successful probation period will lead to a permanent school contract
