Religious Studies Teacher
Salary:
£120 - £200 Per day - ***TEACHING PERSONNEL PAY TO SCALE***
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
- Degree in Religious Studies or similar field
- Previous experience teaching Religious Studies within a secondary school
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Religious Studies secondary curriculum
- Plan and deliver excellent Religious Studies lessons to a range of ages
- Adapt lessons to suit a diverse range of abilities and individual needs
- Strong classroom presence with confidence in behaviour management
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
Job Duties:
The Religious Studies Teacher will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Religious Studies to secondary school students
- Adapting teaching methods to cater to the individual learning needs and abilities of students
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the Religious Studies curriculum
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education (PGCE)
- Specialist training in teaching Religious Studies
