Our client secondary school in Rotherham are looking for a Religious Education teacher to join them after the Easter break. The school is looking for a qualified Religious Education teacher who can teach Religious Education up to KS4 for the remainder of the academic year. This position will be fulfilled on a supply basis for the summer term but has the potential to continue into September given that it is an open vacancy within the Humanities department.

The successful Religious Education teacher will be expected to take on all planning and marking responsibilities at this reputable secondary school and will be working within a flourishing Humanities department.

Highlights of this Humanities teaching position:

  • Pay up to £170 per day depending on experience and payscale
  • Highly reputable and Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Rotherham
  • Full time Religious Education teaching position, starting Tuesday 23rd April 2019
  • Work within a highly supportive Humanities department

This secondary school follows the AQA specification up to GCSE level focussing on the 2 main religions of Christianity and Islam at KS4 level and incorporating Ethics and Philosophy into the entire curriculum. The school are therefore looking for a qualified teacher who has experience in teaching the AQA specification at any experience level. Applications are encouraged from experienced teachers as well as newly qualified teachers with no preference of experience level specifically.

This secondary school is located in Rotherham, only a 20 minute bus journey from the city centre. For those who drive, given the location of the school - it is also very accessible, missing the busy city centre roads.
