Are you looking for a full-time Religious Education teacher position in Bolton?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary Academy in Bolton, who is currently looking for a Religious Education teacher to cover a maternity leave from January 2020.

  • Full-time Religious Education position available from January.
  • Recently refurbished Secondary Academy in Bolton.
  • 12 month maternity cover with the possibility of this being extended further if successful.
  • Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Religious Education teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum).
  • Secondary academy looking for ambitious staff to help improve overall student attainment.

Application Requirements

  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualifications within Religious Education.
  • Must have some previous experience with children/young people in a Secondary School.
  • Any experience with challenging behaviour or behaviour management training will be highly valued.

The successful Religious Education  teacher will be expected to;

-          Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Religious Education.

-          Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated Religious Education lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at various levels of learning.

-          Assess and evaluate class work reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives.

-          Promote positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Our client academy is located in Bolton and can be accessed via the M61 from surrounding areas such as Salford and Bury. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas of Manchester including Salford, central Manchester and Bury.
