Religious Education Teacher

Teaching Personnel is delighted to support a well-established secondary school in Ashford, Kent with the recruitment of a passionate and skilled Religious Education Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in their exploration of religion, philosophy, and ethics.

The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons that encourage critical thinking and understanding of diverse beliefs and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects all religious and cultural perspectives.

• Monitor and assess student progress regularly.

• Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and extracurricular activities.

• Promote respectful dialogue and awareness of ethical issues.

Requirements:

• Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT) with UK QTS is essential.

• Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject.

• Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).
