Full Time Temporary RE Teaching Role from September

The Role

Our client school in Andover is looking to hire an RE teacher on a temporary basis to start from September, this role will be paid to your current pay scale. This is a good rated school located just off the A303, it has a brilliant school site with state of the art facilities and plenty of parking, and it is also easily reached by bus and train from most large cities including Reading, Salisbury, Basingstoke and Southampton by both car and public transport. You would be expected to be able to maintain and increase the attainment of the pupils under your care, ranging in age from 11-16 years.

The school are looking to interview potential candidates, via online meeting spaces, this interview will consist of the head of department and head teacher. Successful candidates will then be placed onto a temporary contract via Teaching Personnel. There is the potential this role could become permanent for the correct teacher.

This position is to be undertaken on a temporary contract for the first two terms of the new academic year however this may extend or become permanent. If this is the case and you would like to continue working at the school this would be preferred to recruiting another teacher.

The responsibilities of this role incorporate the entire responsibilities of a secondary classroom teacher.

The School

In the 2019 academic year within their RE department, results were above the national average having improved on the prior years results and prior to COVID they on that this year with improved policies and resources within the department alongside a very capable cohort of students. This would be an excellent position to take in order to grow as a teacher and expand on your own skills using the training and experience found within the faculty who have a vast amount of experience between them.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
