12 Month Fixed Term Contract – NQT’s encouraged to apply!

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a 'Good' Primary School based in Burnley for an EYFS Specialist Teacher. Teaching Personnel are working closely with the Headteacher who is hoping to shortlist and appoint before the end of February.  The post is a 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity due to begin in February 2020

Predominately most of the pupils who attend the school are from White British families, with a small minority EAL in school, especially within the Early Years. The school is amongst the top performing in the area in terms of attainment in KS2 despite the pupils joining the school are below expected levels. Good progress is made by the pupils throughout EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and behaviour on the whole is exemplary. The Headteacher leads the school well and the SLT and teaching staff have high standards across the board. The school was graded ‘Good’ in the recent full school RE inspection.

The incoming candidate will be joining a small but successful team of 4 in the unit. You must be a well organised, efficient and reflective practitioner with high expectations of child development, learning and behaviour. You must also be able to plan and deliver a creative curriculum, create a purposeful and stimulating learning environment and form good relationships with children, parents/carers and staff. The role will be full time, 5 days per week with allocated PPA time. The Head Teacher has stated she is looking for someone who can ‘hit the ground running’ & fit into the ‘warm & welcoming’ team.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
