Teaching Personnel is pleased to present an opportunity for an experienced Reception Teacher to work on either a full-time or part-time basis at a partner primary school in Sidcup. The school is located right by Holly Oak Wood Park, near to Sidcup and New Eltham Stations (Southeastern) or a short bus from North Greenwich Station (Jubilee Line). The school also has on-site parking.

This four-form entry primary school is a very popular community school focused on providing an inclusive, caring and stimulating learning environment for primary aged children. The school has a strong history of high academic achievement alongside a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Their latest Ofsted confirmed they continue to be a 'Good' school (Sept. 2016) and they are working towards outstanding. The school aims to become a centre for excellence where every child is able to realise their potential academically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally within a caring environment

Pupils enjoy school, behave well and feel very safe. Although the school is large, every child is valued and knows they are important to the school. As one pupil put it, 'I feel lucky to be in this school!' The school strives for excellence and sets high standards for students and staff. Children's learning, achievement and well-being are at the centre of all that they do. The school's ethos of having 'marvellous manners' permeates the school.

The school are hoping to find an experienced reception teacher but would also be open to a Year 1, 2 or 3 Teacher. They are looking to pay according to main scale, and are able to be flexible with teaching hour allocations for the right candidate. Shortlisting criteria include:

  • UK QTS
  • At least two years experience teaching in Early Years, Reception or Year 1
  • A commitment to inclusivity
  • A drive to be the best teacher you can possibly be
