Reception Teacher

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a school in the Rawtenstall (BB4) area, who are looking to recruit a Reception Teacher. The current position has become available due to long-term absence, the position will start June 2022 until at least October 2022. There is also the possibility for this to become a long-term/permanent position.

The Head Teacher of the school is looking for a well-organised and dynamic Reception Teacher who has the relevant experience to join the school. The school is of average size and is rated ‘Good’ by OfSTED. Throughout this role, the successful candidate will have the continuous support of the Senior Leadership Team to continuously improve the pupil’s development and education. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed via Microsoft Teams or Face-to-face depending on availability, the Head Teacher aims to shortlist candidates by 6th May for interviews and observations to take place week commencing May 12th.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and teaching of the class in line with early years curriculum (EYFS). Ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times. Due to the recent pandemic, there is a possibility that you will need to be prepared to teach remotely as well as in the classroom. The majority of pupils within the class are currently working at age related levels, however, there are a small number of children who require additional support. Therefore, during your role you will have the support of a long-term Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate:

  • Qualified Early Years Teacher or Early Years Practitioner with a BA degree in early years or early childhood studies
  • Drive and passion for developing children’s minds through different learning opportunities
  • To promote inclusion and assist with the identification and teaching of children with Special Education Needs
  • To liaise and plan teaching and learning with support staff in line with school policy.
  • Be responsible for reinforcing school positive behaviour policy/code of conduct

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
