At Teaching Personnel, we are looking to recruit an RE Teacher for one of our secondary schools in Leeds.

Ready to foster understanding, empathy, and respect in the next generation? ECTs and Fully Qualified teachers with some experience teaching in the UK and a DBS on the update service, are welcome to apply.

Role Overview: As an RE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to facilitate meaningful discussions and foster a deeper understanding of religious and moral perspectives among students. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that encourage critical thinking, empathy, and respect for different worldviews. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about RE education and committed to promoting tolerance, understanding, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic RE lessons that cover a range of religious traditions, ethical dilemmas, and contemporary issues.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their own beliefs and perspectives.
  • Encourage respectful dialogue and reflection on the similarities and differences between religious and non-religious worldviews.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and resources, including texts, artefacts, multimedia materials, and experiential learning activities.
  • Assess students' understanding and progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
