Due to unforeseen circumstances, our client school has a need for a Religious Studies teacher to join them for the final term of this academic year, teaching Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

- £110 - £160 per day, dependant on teaching experience

- Full time position from April until July 2018, possible opportunity to continue into September 2018

- Ofsted "Good" rated - results above national average

- Respectful ethos with excellent pupil behaviour

- Well facilitated secondary with sixth form attached

- Long term post as Religious Studies teacher in dual faith school, inclusive education policy

Our client school is a small oversubscribed and popular 11-18 school located on the outskirts of Rochdale in Heywood, bordering Bury. The school is a joint faith and serve Catholic and CofE parishes respectively, ensuring there is a large community feel around the school. A large proportion of students are of White British heritage and the proportion of students who come from minority ethnic backgrounds is much lower than average, though this is rising due to an inclusive education policy. The school performs above the national average in terms of attainment at GCSE and the Progress 8 score is consistently improving, though already above the national average for secondary schools.

The school are ideally looking for a qualified Religious Studies teacher, and those who have newly qualified would also be welcome to apply. Applicants must have previous experience planning and marking schemes of work specialising in Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and 4.
