About the role: 

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a partner secondary school in the Walsall area. The role is ideal for qualified teachers who are passionate about inspiring students and supporting their learning in a range of scientific subjects.

Role responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in science across KS3 and KS4

• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the school curriculum and assessment policies

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities

• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to support learning outcomes

• Promote a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively

• Support students in developing scientific thinking and practical skills

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and strategies

• Contribute to school initiatives, events and extra-curricular activities

Role requirements: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting, preferably across KS3 and KS4

• Strong subject knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons for a diverse student body

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Willingness to undertake professional development and training

• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

• Reliable, adaptable and committed to student success
