Qualified HLTA – Welsh-Medium Primary Schools
Flexible Supply Work for Fluent Welsh Speakers
Are you a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with fluent Welsh language skills? Would you like flexible, rewarding work in Welsh-medium primary schools across Cardiff? Teaching Personnel is recruiting passionate and reliable HLTAs to join our pool of trusted educators supporting schools on both a short-term and long-term basis.
The Role:
Working as a supply HLTA gives you the flexibility to choose when and where you work. Whether you’re looking for consistent full-time cover or occasional days to suit your schedule, we can offer a variety of opportunities to match your availability. Your role may involve:
- Delivering 1:1 or small group support sessions
- Leading planned group interventions to aid learner progress
- Assisting class teachers with daily activities and classroom management
- Providing whole-class cover where appropriate
We're Looking For:
- Fluent Welsh speakers with strong communication skills
- Qualified HLTAs (Level 4 or equivalent qualification)
- Confident individuals with excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
- Experience working across Foundation Phase and/or Key Stage 2
- A positive, adaptable attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- EWC registration (Support Staff category)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
