A Secondary School in Cardiff are looking for Psychology graduate Teaching Assistants to work on a short term supply and long term basis at their school immediately.

This secondary school have a broad range of requirements, whether it’s working in their special resource base, Asc Unit or working with Behaviour. It has been quickly identified that Psychology graduates have been fantastic at enabling the schools students to develop further, well building their skillset to move on.

• Individuals who are able to work with 12-16 year olds who have a range of special educational needs including moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties

• Children can become verbally and physically challenging therefore additional training such as Team-Teach would be beneficial

• Additional training opportunities provided

• Access to CPD courses such as Autism Awareness and Safeguarding

The successful Teaching Assistant for this post will be a Psychology Graduate and as a result will have a good theoretical understanding of special educational needs. You must also be a confident and a resilient teaching assistant who holds a genuine desire to help young people with SEN achieve
