Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and forward-thinking team in an outstanding school in central Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students, support learning, and gain practical experience ideal for a future career in education, teaching, or educational psychology.

As a Psychology Graduate TA, you will:

  • Support students aged 11–16 across a range of subjects, with a focus on emotional, behavioural, or learning needs
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement strategies for engagement and progress
  • Contribute to creating a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
  • Gain insight into child and adolescent development, special educational needs (SEN), and classroom strategies

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A degree in Psychology (or final-year students graduating this summer)
  • A genuine interest in working with young people in an educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive, flexible attitude
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
