£13.75 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to take your first step into education or a long-term career in child psychology or educational psychology?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support children across the school with identified Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for child development and a desire to make a genuine impact in the classroom.

About the Role:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who have additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

• Support children’s learning and emotional development under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers.

• Help implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.

• Develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree in Psychology (or closely related field).

• A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children.

• Ideally some experience with children or young people in an educational, care, or voluntary setting.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
