Job description

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children and young people? We are working with a supportive secondary school in Bolton that is looking to recruit a dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills before progressing into careers such as Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, Counselling, Social Work, or Mental Health.

No previous school experience is required – full support and guidance will be provided.

The Role

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will collaborate with teachers and the school's SEND team to deliver tailored interventions and provide one-to-one and small group support.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting students with SEND, SEMH, ASD and ADHD.
  • Delivering targeted interventions to improve engagement and confidence.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group academic support.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff and families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
