Are you a recent psychology graduate living in West London with an interest supporting children with autism, complex learning needs and speech and language difficulties?

A primary special educational needs school in Hayes, Hillingdon are appointing confident and engaging psychology graduates for graduate TA positions starting immediately. The positions available are a year long and offer an invaluable opportunity to the successful graduates with on-going specialist training and permanent contracts with therapy and teaching pathways.

This school specialises in providing educational and social opportunities for children with autism and complex needs such as Down's syndrome. You will support children with their personalised learning plans throughout the day which will be based on the child's individual learning and developmental needs. Working collaboratively with therapists, social workers and teachers you will also observe, record and assess pupil's educational, social and communication development.

The school are looking for graduates available Monday to Fridays during school term time (8:30-4:30) with a prospect of working longer term or permanently following the completion of a year contract.

Supporting children with autism and complex needs is an invaluable starting point for psychology students who are looking to gain practical experience before completing a Masters or clinical placement.

  • National Autistic Society Accredited Primary SEN School in Hayes, Hillingdon (Central and GWR line)
  • On-going special educational needs training on weekly and bi-weekly basis
  • Year long Psychology graduate positions in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 starting immediately
  • Availability for Monday to Friday 5 days each week 8:30 - 4:00pm
  • 1:1, 2:1 and small group support of children with autism and complex learning needs
  • Psychology transcript or degree certificate required from UK university
