Psychology Graduate | Behaviour Support | Long Term Role

Are you looking for an uplifting and rewarding role working with children who require extra care and support within their learning environment? Are you a compassionate person who is looking for a new challenge?

My client is looking to appoint an Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) Specialist Teaching assistant to join them in September 2019 for the next academic year. The role will require you to work 1:1 with pupils presenting with Social, Emotional Behavioural Issues as well as Mental Health. The 'Good' Alternative Provision is located in Penarth is wildly supported by the local community and supports local activities and public events.

The role will require an enthusiastic individual with a good understanding of SEMH and the Autism Spectrum. You must maintain an understanding and have a compassionate approach to pupils and their needs and abilities. Experience in another similar role is essential, dealing with impulsive behaviours whilst being supportive. Qualifications within SEN would be an advantage.
