Psychology graduate needed for Primary school Teaching Assistant role in Bury (M45)

Are you a psychology Graduate who is looking to take the next step in your educational journey? Do you want to gain more experience working in a main stream primary school in Bury of Salford?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a psychology graduate to work with a child with severe Autism. The pupil is struggling to engage in the National curriculum and because of this, their behaviour has become very challenging. This Bury primary school is looking for a psychology graduate with previous experience working with children in a school and social setting to support the child and raise attainment.

A successful applicant should:

  • Hold either an educational or psychology based degree
  • Have experience working with young children
  • Have a caring and understanding nature
  • Have strong communication skillsThis role will involve working on a 1:1 basis in the class room to support the child's learning within the classroom and to utilise interventions in maths and English outside of the classroom.

These roles will be perfect for someone looking to do a PGCE course or pursue a career in educational psychology in the future. If you want more experience in a number of primary schools working with pupils from a number of age groups and backgrounds then this is the perfect opportunity.
