Humanities teacher – September 2017, Farnborough school.

  • Newly qualified or experienced humanities teachers welcome to apply (MPS/UPS)
  • Large secondary school in south/central Farnborough
  • Temporary humanities teaching job - initial one year contract

Temporary 12 month post for a humanities teacher in 2017, large secondary school in Farnborough. Applications welcome from both experienced practitioners and newly qualified humanities teachers (full induction year support available).

“Due to restructuring in our department, we are looking to hire a humanities teacher for the next academic year, initially temporary but more than likely permanent after a one year contract. We have a strong team of humanities teachers and results exceeding 75% across the faculty (A*-C GCSE) and can offer any humanities teachers a fully inclusive and supportive environment to develop their teaching practice. We have high standards for students and similar expectations of our teaching staff”. Head of humanities

- Great humanities department with GCSE pass rates exceeding 75% in 2015

- Located in Farnborough, just south of the city centre with great facilities

- Ofsted graded “Outstanding behaviour and leadership”

This is a well regarded secondary school with an attached sixth form, the progress of pupils in humanities is above the national statistics and this summers exam results are set to climb once again. As a humanities teacher in this school you will need to be fully appreciative of the school policies and prepared to take up all responsibilities required. The school welcome applications from newly qualified humanities teachers and can fully support your induction year during this 12 month contract.
