Primary Tutor

The Head Teacher of an SEMH provision in Sunderland are searching for a Tutor/HLTA to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis aged between 5 and 11. The pupils have been excluded from mainstream education and struggle to participate within the classroom therefore need additional support.

You will be working with pupils who are working at a lower than expected level for their age, and will be provided with information on each pupil that you are working with to assist you in planning and preparing appropriate work including focuses on phonics and numeracy.

Some of the sessions will be taking place within the school setting however some will be within the pupil's homes or community centres - where this is the case travel expenses will be paid however you must therefore have access to a vehicle. You could earn up to GBP90 per day in this position and you will have access to our unrivalled CPD opportunities including Safeguarding and Team Teach training. 

This position will be held on a full time basis from January to the Easter holidays, there is potential for this to continue after this period however you will have opportunities to many other opportunities in any of Teaching Personnel's client schools after this time.
