We are looking to for teaching assistants available on a full-time basis to work with primary schools in the Cambridge area from October half term 2020. Posts may see you providing varied support to; small groups of children, 1:1 support and general class support throughout the primary age. You will work during school hours from Monday -Friday, totalling 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities;
- Work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to provide the best support for pupils
- Help with preparation and planning of activities and lessons
- Guide the child/children with different learning styles to ensure they are getting the full benefit from the lesson
- Ensure a safe place of work for the child and other students within the classroom
- Reporting of any issues, in line with the school policies and procedures
- Communicating effectively with pupils, staff, parents and carers where necessary
- Ad hoc admin/general duties where necessary
- Working with small groups and 1:1
Requirements for the role;
- Passionate about primary education
- Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis that can be referenced
- Safeguarding training
- A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
- A UK address and right to work
- Flexibility in terms of transportation
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Relevant qualifications – desirable not mandatory

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
