Teaching Assistant (Year 3) - Primary School
Garstang | Full-Time | Through Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming Year 3 classroom at a primary school in Garstang. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to pupils' education while gaining valuable experience in a supportive school environment.
The Role
As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing. You will help deliver engaging activities, provide classroom support, and assist children both individually and in small groups.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom.
- Working with pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
- Encouraging pupil engagement and participation.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation.
- Supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children is desirable.
- Experience within a childcare setting, nursery, after-school club, youth work setting, or similar environment would be highly beneficial.
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
