Join Our Team as a Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant at Our Primary SEN Provision!

Are you passionate about supporting primary-aged children with special educational needs (SEN)? We're looking for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our SEN provision, starting ASAP on a temporary basis.

About the Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing tailored support to primary-aged students with SEN. You'll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to primary-aged students with a range of SEN, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
  • Assisting students in accessing the curriculum, participating in activities, and developing essential skills.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies to support students' learning and development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is desirable but not essential.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
