KS1 Primary Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: Competitive
Contract Type: Full Time
Start Date: 24th February
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 teacher to work across a group of primary schools in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable and committed teacher who thrives in a dynamic, varied environment. You will be working in different schools within our network, bringing your expertise to support the learning and development of young children in the early stages of their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons and learning experiences across KS1, ensuring that children make progress in line with the National Curriculum.
- Work with a variety of pupils from diverse backgrounds, adapting teaching to meet their individual needs.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes good behaviour and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform planning and support individual development.
- Collaborate with staff across schools to share best practices and improve teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and school community.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and carers regarding student progress and well-being.
- Attend school meetings, training sessions, and staff development activities as required.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally across multiple year groups.
- A passion for early years education and the ability to engage young learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching, with the ability to work in different school environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
