  • Delivering high quality KS2 lessons for children with SEMH difficulties.
  • Full-time role (Mon-Fri).
  • Competitive daily rate of £110 - £200.

Teaching Personnel has been approached by a specialist provision in Leyland which caters for pupils aged 6-14 with complex social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Many pupils who attend this school have not had a previously good experience at school and have been persistently absent from education. As a result, the pupils have large gaps in their learning and have low confidence levels in their academic ability.

The school offers a therapeutic environment which allows the pupils to thrive. A varied curriculum is offered including vocational subjects as well as core subjects. The school also focuses on enrichment and connecting the pupils to their environment, as a result pupils should feel more engaged with their education and want to do well.

As a Primary Teacher you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering quality lessons both practical and theory.
  • Liaise with TA’s and parents to maximise student achievements.
  • Encourage pupils to engage with their education through a positive approach.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Praise good behaviour.
  • Deal with potentially difficult situations.

You must have a relevant teaching qualification and you must have experience teaching in either a mainstream or ideally a specialist provision and must be confident within your role.
