The Role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive classroom culture. Responsibilities include:
- Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging, creative lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive, meaningful feedback
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to wider school life
- Participating in professional development and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who can bring enthusiasm, organisation, and strong classroom practice to the role. You will ideally have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1
- Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
- Confidence in planning differentiated lessons
- Effective use of technology to enhance learning
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
