The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young learners’ early educational experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Assessing learning and tracking pupil progress
• Providing constructive feedback to support development
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities
• Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to wider school life
• Taking part in CPD and whole-school initiatives

✅ The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is organised, proactive, and passionate about education. You will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 1 desirable)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence in differentiating lessons effectively
• Ability to use technology to enhance learning
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
