The Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming Key Stage 2 school in Cardiff for a long-term position from September.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a vibrant classroom while delivering high-quality teaching that meets the needs of all learners. You'll play a key role in supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) by adapting your teaching to ensure every child can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Working closely with the school's Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCO) and support staff, you'll help create an inclusive classroom where all pupils feel valued, supported and encouraged to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs.
- Differentiate learning to meet the individual needs of all pupils.
- Work collaboratively with the ALNCO, teaching assistants and wider school staff to provide appropriate support.
- Monitor pupil progress and use assessment to inform future planning.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Promote pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who is:
- A qualified teacher with experience teaching in a primary school.
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with ALN.
- Confident adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Patient, resilient and committed to helping every child succeed.
- An excellent communicator with strong classroom management skills.
- Able to commit to a full-time, long-term role.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Current Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration.
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
If you don't currently hold an Enhanced DBS or EWC registration, Teaching Personnel can support you through the application process (fees may apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
