About the Role

Start Date: September 2026 | Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm | Location: Barry | Pay: £172.98 per day / paid to scale

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teachers to work full-time across a range of welcoming primary schools in The Vale Of Glamorgan.

As a Class Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences that support pupils' academic progress and personal development. You will create an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment where children feel motivated, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment while working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Wales.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress and development.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • An Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A current EWC registration.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for supporting and inspiring young learners.

Please note: If you do not currently hold a DBS on the Update Service or an active EWC registration, Teaching Personnel can support you with the application process. Costs for these checks will apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
