Calling all Retired and Former Primary Teachers – EYFS - KS2.

Teaching Personnel are supporting the governments call out for Retired Teachers and Former Teachers with career breaks to return to the classroom from EYFS-KS2 and help support the current demand for staff across Blackpool and the surrounding areas!

Many teachers have a pre-conception that the agency will be calling you at 7:00am visiting different schools every day – however this is not the case. Many of our current supply requirements are pre-booked 2-3 days in advance with many schools requesting the same teachers back for course cover, PPA cover, management release time and to cover preplanned absences. This results in teachers securing regular work within their favourite schools. Teachers who are recently retired, or have possibly trained to teach and had a career break, we are appealing to you – whether you are available sporadically or 1-5 days per week!

We urgently require former teachers to help meet the current demand for temporary supply staff across Lancashire. If you are keen to help support the current demand and would like to know more about the schools we work with and type of teaching work we have available in your area, please contact the office today. Your consultant will be on hand to listen to your requirements such as which year groups you would be confident teaching. We currently have demand across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Registration processes are thorough, however through the guidance of your dedicated consultant, the vetting process is straight forward, and we can discuss this checklist during your first phone call, giving you an idea of the process and the type of work we have available.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
