Maths Teacher

Stockport based secondary school looking to fill full time Maths teacher post commencing after Easter 2021

This position is temporary with the school looking to appoint a Maths teacher for 1 term from Easter 2021 until the end of the academic year in July 2021.

The successful candidate will teach a curriculum of Maths to years 7-11 in a warm and inclusive secondary school with academy status. The school believes in a vision to promote hard work and a positive attitude towards learning, in academic terms as well as life skills. The candidate would be joining a large, experienced department with great support networks throughout. With a head of school who’s been at the school for 17 years, candidates would have no doubts of the level of stability throughout the schools hierarchy. The school has also achieved an Ofsted report rating of ‘Outstanding’ and progress 8 scores of ‘Well Above Average’.

Interested Maths teachers will need submit their application by March 21, and must have school based references, Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, and must be eligible to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

The school is located in the centre of Cheadle, a multi-cultural area of Stockport, and is a short drive from the Wilmslow-Handforth Bypass (A34) meaning it’s easily accessible by car and great parking is offered for candidate who would be driving. For any candidates who would not be driving, Cheadle Hulme Station is a 0.8 mile away, as well as bus routes that travel down the nearby Gillbent Road.
