Primary Supply Teachers (KS1 & KS2)

Location: Somerset and surrounding areas
Pay: £120–£140 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are delighted to share that we’ve been selected by a large Multi Academy Trust covering schools across Devon, Torbay, and Somerset to provide their supply and staffing support.

From 1st December 2025, Teaching Personnel will be one of the approved agencies working directly with this Trust for all their teaching, support, and cover requirements.

As part of this exciting new partnership, we’re expanding our pool of enthusiastic and adaptable daily supply teachers to work across a range of primary schools in and around Exeter.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt to different school settings and support children’s learning effectively, no two schools are the same and neither are the children.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency for pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent teaching experience in a primary school (KS1 and/or KS2).
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
  • Able to provide two strong references from previous educational settings.
  • Willing to complete a routine interview and vetting process with a trusted consultants.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
