Job description

Step Away from Full-Time Teaching — Stay in the Classroom You Love!

Are you a KS2 teacher ready to move on from the demands of full-time teaching — the endless planning, marking, and meetings — but not quite ready to leave education behind?

Whether you’re thinking about retirement, craving a better work–life balance, or just want to experience new schools and classrooms, supply teaching could be the perfect next step for you.

At Teaching Personnel, we’re looking for experienced KS2 teachers and ECTs who are flexible, reliable, and passionate about supporting pupils — without the pressures of a permanent post.

Why Choose Supply Teaching with Us?

  • ✅ Flexibility: Choose when and where you work — daily, weekly, or longer-term placements. You will have access to our App where you’ll find bookings, payslips and most importantly your diary.
  • Variety: Teach across a range of KS2 classrooms in Yeovil and the surrounding areas.
  • Less Responsibility: Focus on teaching and inspiring pupils, without the admin load.
  • Competitive Pay: Rates reflective of your experience and commitment.
  • ‍ Dedicated Consultant: Personal support from a local specialist who understands KS2 education.
  • ️ FREE Safeguarding Training to ensure you’re fully compliant and confident.

What You’ll Need:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work documentation (passport and driving licence)
  • Proof of address and reference checks
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility to make a difference across different KS2 settings

If you’re passionate about teaching — but ready to enjoy more balance and freedom — we’d love to hear from you!
Apply today to join our ever-growing pool of dedicated KS2 educators working across Yeovil and beyond.
