Teaching Personnel are excited to be appointing a SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant at one of our partner schools in Cambridgeshire.

The Role

You will be working with pupils aged 5-11 years, who display challenging behaviour. Playing a key role in ensuring pupils stay engaged in their learning as well as encouraging them to take part in class activities.

Working in Special Educational Needs, no two days will be the same with opportunities to work 1:1, in small groups or larger classes with SEN pupils.

Some duties will include:

  • Promoting and assisting with the learning and development of the pupil(s) you are assigned to
  • Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence
  • Managing behavior
  • Preparing learning resources, as directed by the Teacher

For this position, we require an individual who is confident to manage the behaviour of SEN pupils.

Working Hours

  • You must be available to work from 8.30am until 3.30pm.
  • Full-time and part-time positions available

 Due to the location of the school, ideally you will have your own transport or a reliable lift.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
