Primary School Teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are excited to present a great opportunity for a class teacher to join a vibrant and innovative primary school in South East London. The school are very sad to be losing their current class teacher who is moving home to Australia and are hoping to find an excellent replacement. The school is not far from Dartford Station (Thameslink, Southeastern) and has on-site parking. They have close links to the local community and strive to make local and international links to support learning and citizenship within the school.
The school opened in 2009 and has gradually increased the number of classes each year and are continuing to grow. The comparative youth of the school means they have a clear focus on innovation and development and have worked hard to incorporate best practice from other institutions. They have successfully created an active, inspiring and engaging learning environment on which all learning is planned and delivered. Pupils are encouraged become independent learners and develop skills in problem solving, communication and teamwork. This approach to learning is working well for their students and in their most recent Ofsted inspection they were confirmed as 'Good' (Jan 2018).
The school introduced a new curriculum at the beginning of last school year to make learning more fun and meaningful for pupils. The curriculum is enriched with a range of educational visits including visits to museums and a local wildlife park. Pupils have very good attitudes to learning and enjoy coming to school. The relationships between staff and students are excellent and pupils appreciate the kindness of their teachers and the friendships they make. The school environment is generally very happy and pupils from all backgrounds and activities become fully involved in school life.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you to take the next steps in your teaching career, the school are hoping to interview as soon as possible. The school has a preference for a teacher in KS1 and will happily pay to scale MPS/UPS (with free private healthcare also on offer!).
Shortlisting criteria:
- UK QTS
- Experience of teaching in KS1 or KS2
- Up-to-date knowledge of the UK Curriculum
- A good sense of humour!
If you think you would be the right fit for this school please do not hesitate to submit your CV. For more details please do call in to the office on 02075933075.
