Primary Behaviour Teaching Assistant

We are seeking behaviour support Teaching Assistants in Bodmin and surrounding areas!

We are expecting schools to need a lot of additional support with behaviour from September due to the school closures and how long students have had out of school routine. We expect our client schools to need flexible long-term members of staff to work 1:1 or with small groups of children who may struggle with returning to school. It may be that these pupils display challenging behaviour or they may suffer with social and emotional needs. It will be important that supply staff are nurturing, approachable and knowledgeable to give these pupils the best possible support when they return.

The majority of the bookings we will be working on will initially be temporary as schools are awaiting guidance on the new funding and may not be entirely clear on their staffing structure for the year. However, it is likely that schools will offer fixed term contracts for the right candidates so although these positions will begin on a flexible basis, it is possible to be taken onto a direct contract.

We are seeking candidates with experience supporting challenging behaviour or special educational needs in either a school or care setting. Experience with primary aged pupils would also be essential. We will have roles available within EYFS to KS2.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
