PPA Cover Teacher, Lytham St Annes

The Head Teacher of a Primary School in Lytham St Annes would like to appoint a strong Primary Teacher to provide PPA cover across Key Stage 2. The role is to start the week commencing 12th April 2021 and is planned to continue until 1st April 2022. It has arisen due to movement in staffing across the school.

The working hours for this new position will be two full days per week (13 hours), with the potential for more hours in the case of a staff absence. The working days for the PPA cover are currently negotiable.

The successful candidate will be expected to plan and teach subjects across the Primary curriculum, including English and Maths. Accordingly, high standards of teaching and learning is required. Excellent knowledge of the standards for each year group is essential to ensuring well planned and well differentiated lessons are delivered. The Head Teacher has specified that to be successful in your application, you must be experienced in managing classroom behaviour effectively, backed up by references.

The school is Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ overall due to the good quality education and a strong leadership team who work effectively with all staff to provide a harmonious learning community. Staff are dedicated to meeting the personal needs of pupils and their families, while encouraging pupils to reach their full potential academically.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have evidence of the following:

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

-          Key Stage 1 and 2 teaching experience

-          Excellent knowledge of the Primary curriculum

-          Strong behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
