SEN Teaching Assistant PMLD/ASD – Canning Town, East London

  • PMLD and ASD School Need SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Outstanding Mentor Programme
  • Earn £60.00 - £75.00 per day

You will be pleased to know that as a SEN Teaching Assistant the school’s ethos is built around a child centred approach to learning, one founded on high expectations and innovation. They aim to tailor strategies and approaches that will meet the needs of each child, supporting them in all aspects of their development, nurturing self-esteem, confidence and aspiration.

An assertive and ambitious but caring graduate with a genuine passion for secondary education is wanted to join this acknowledged secondary school in East London for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant.

Person Specification for SEN Teaching Assistant

This role of SEN Teaching Assistant requires a forward thinking graduate who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role and earned a second-class degree or better. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have the capability to use your enthusiasm for your teaching and learning to ignite a thirst for knowledge in your students.

This is a Special School for children with severe/profound and complex learning difficulties (PMLD) or an autistic (ASD) spectrum disorder. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be happy to know that the care and progression of each student is at the heart of everything they do. There is a clear cohesion between all members of staff as they all understand the common goal which is of course 100% child centred.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, this is an opportunity to use your skills and help move students forward giving them a much better chance at the next stage of their academic phase.
