Job description

Inspire Confidence. Unlock Potential. Teach English in Nottingham.

Words have power — and you could be the reason a young person discovers theirs.

At TP Tutors, we believe English isn’t just a subject. It’s confidence. It’s creativity. It’s opportunity. And right now, we’re looking for passionate English tutors in the Nottingham area to help students from KS2 to GCSE rediscover their potential.

If you love language, literature, and seeing that “lightbulb moment” when a concept finally clicks — this role is for you.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll deliver personalised 1:1 tuition outside of the mainstream classroom, helping students who need something different.

Your role will include:

  • Building confidence in reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis

  • Supporting students with exam preparation and revision strategies

  • Creating engaging, tailored lesson plans based on individual needs

  • Turning “I can’t do this” into “I’ve got this”

  • Providing structured, supportive learning in a calm environment

Every session makes a difference.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re searching for tutors who are:

  • Knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about English language & literature

  • Experienced in teaching, tutoring, or education-related roles

  • Confident communicators who can simplify complex ideas

  • Creative in delivering engaging, accessible lessons

  • In possession of a enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one and join the Update Service)

If you care about impact more than just instruction — you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Get

Competitive Pay: £25–£30 per hour (based on experience & funding)
Flexible Hours: Monday–Friday, approx. 8:30am–3:30pm
Work-Life Balance: Around 13 weeks off per year
Dedicated Consultant Support: You’ll never feel like “just a number”
Meaningful Work: See real progress, real growth, real confidence

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you're ready to shape futures through English and want flexible, rewarding work in Nottingham, we’d love to hear from you.
