Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Physics teacher on behalf of a 14-19 College based in Wigan.

Due to movement within their Science department, this Good to Outstanding school and sixth form based in Wigan town centre have a great opportunity for any Physics teachers seeking the next step forward in their career.

  • Full time Physics Teacher - September 2018 start
  • Permanent position paid in line with MPS UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)
  • Exemplary Science laboratories and state of the art teaching facilities

This is a prestigious opportunity for a Physics teacher to join a reputable institution and work with engaged pupils who are passionate about learning and their futures.

This role will be to deliver the KS4 Physics curriculum to the students in Years 10 & 11, however teaching experience of A-level Physics is preferred by the school but not essential. The incoming Physics teacher will have the opportunity to work with pupils who are keen to learn and understand how their studies will 'shape' their future career. In the school's most recent Ofsted report, it was stated that the high performance culture was felt throughout which allows teachers and pupils alike to thrive.

Our partner school & sixth form cater for 14-19 year olds to offer them the opportunity to study at specialist centres of excellence. These centres are equipped to the highest standards and are sponsored by universities and local, regional and multinational employers.

It is located in central Wigan which offers excellent accessibility to the North West via the nearby motorways. The areas of Standish, Chorley, Hindley and Aspull are all only a short drive away.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
