Teacher of Physics (QTS Required)
BB4 Area, Lancashire
Full-Time | Start Date: November 2026
MPS/UPS Dependent on Experience
A forward-thinking and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the BB4 area of Lancashire is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Physics to join its successful Science department from November 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and develop a love of science through engaging and challenging Physics lessons. The successful candidate will join a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality teaching and achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
The Role
- Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider Science department and school community.
- Support students in achieving their full academic potential.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching Physics within a UK secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is committed to raising standards and improving student outcomes.
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
