Are you an ambitious and talented Science Teacher looking for your next challenge?
We are currently seeking a strong and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a thriving mainstream secondary school in Accrington, Lancashire. This is a full-time position from September 2026 until April 2027, offering the opportunity to teach within a supportive department committed to delivering outstanding science education.
This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to build positive relationships and drive excellent outcomes.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Promote high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
- Contribute positively to the Science department and wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
- Possesses excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Demonstrates a passion for Science and a commitment to student success.
- Is proactive, adaptable and able to quickly establish strong professional relationships.
- Has high expectations of both themselves and their students.
