Physics Teacher (Key Stage 5) – Full-Time Maternity Cover
Location: Cardiff
Start Date: October 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Pay: £172.98 - £238.95 per day (Paid to scale on MPS)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a high-achieving secondary school in Cardiff to appoint a dedicated Physics Teacher for a full-time maternity cover role starting in October 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated students in a supportive and successful Science department. The school has a strong record of achievement and is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to continue delivering high-quality Physics lessons at GCSE and A-Level (Key Stage 4 & 5).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Physics lessons across KS4 and KS5.
- Plan, prepare and assess in line with departmental expectations.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and the Science faculty.
Candidate Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with a Physics specialism.
- Proven experience teaching A-Level / Key Stage 5 Physics.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring students to achieve their potential.
