Job Role: Male PE Teacher/ Sports Coach

Contract: Full-time, part-time, flexible working

Location: Huddersfield, HD3

Salary: £120-180 depending on qualifications and experience

A Secondary school in Huddersfield are looking for a strong, experienced male PE Teacher. The successful candidate will be supporting KS3-KS4 PE lessons and must be strong with behaviour management. 

Main Duties:

  • Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
  • Ensuring that children compete to their ability level and aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
  • Motivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits
  • Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
  • Attending parents’ evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their child’s progress
  • Training and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in nation-wide events
  • Transporting individual competitors, school teams and other teachers to and from school sporting events
  • Ensuring that students pass their practical and theoretical PE exams

 

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Willing to travel
  • Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
  • Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Minimum of six months UK residency
  • We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
  • Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment
  • Experience/ relevant qualification Teaching PE

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
