One of the schools we work closely with has an exciting job role available for a TA who is looking for full-time work and is trained in Phonics. The school has a role within Year 1 as an assistant dealing with a few pupils in a class who need a bit of extra support. The role could become long-term with the discretion of the school. Located in Erith in the borough of Bexley there are routes directly from central London into Erith train station for quick access. Also bus routes are easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Greenwich and Peckham.

The ideal candidate would be a confident out-going person who can build relationships with pupils who need the extra support. You have to be trained in Phonics for this role. There may be some challenging behaviour so having patience and composure is an essential skill for this role due to teaching Year 1 pupils. Experience is desirable but not essential, this role would be good for graduates who are looking for some experience in the education sector. You may also assist with more teacher based roles like planning a lesson and assisting with administrative roles such as printing.
