Phonics Teaching Assistant required for Primary School in Brent

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking 2x Teaching Assistants who have been trained in Phonics on the behalf of a reputable Primary School in Stonebridge.

About The Role:

- Providing general support to Reception and Year 1 classes

- Taking small groups of children to deliver interventions on Phonics

- Observing and tracking the learning development of young children

- Providing feedback to parents and teachers

About The School:

This is a popular multi-cultural Primary School located a short distance away from the Stronebridge Park complex centre. It is a three form entry Primary School that is focused on ensuring all students leave school having received the best education possible. They are a supportive school that work closely with the local community and they are seeking two teaching assistants to join their community.

Ideal candidate:

- Trained in one of the following Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics, Letters and Sounds

- At least 6 months experience providing supporting in either Reception or Year 1

- Good command of the English Language

- CACHE Level 3 or NVQ equivalent is desired but not necessary

- A valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application immediately

- Able to provide 2x references

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
