Teaching Personnel is currently supporting a local primary school to recruit a phonics intervention specialist. The successful candidate will be delivering booster sessions to small groups and 121 with pupils who require additional tuition. Planning, assessing, recording and reporting pupil progress, and effectively differentiating lesson plans will be an essential part of this role. For the right candidate this role may be part time or full time, and applications are encouraged from NQT's, FQT's and HLTA's.
The school is situated in central Grimsby and has been making rapid improvements in all areas. With focused and supportive leadership the school was graded as "Good" in the last Ofsted inspection and is being nationally recognised for the enrichment work that they are doing. The school is using the cornerstones curriculum to enhance the pupils learning and is always looking for new and inspirational ways to educate the pupils.
Grimsby is a large town and seaport situated on the South Bank of the Humber Estuary, in England, close to where it reaches the North Sea. Grimsby developed as a major sea port on the east coast of England, hosting the largest fishing fleet in the world by the mid twentieth century. As one of the largest centres of population in Lincolnshire the Grimsby-Cleethorpes conurbation acts as the cultural, shopping and industrial centre for a large area of northern and eastern Lincolnshire.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
