Personal Care TA

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a mainstream secondary school based in central Northampton, aiding them with the recruitment of a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant who has experience with personal care.

The school require someone to start from 8th March and have highlighted that the incoming member of staff will be working within a unit for students with additional needs, supporting students with aspects of personal care.

• Personal Care Teaching Assistant
• Full-time position with the school in requirement of someone who can start in September
• Must have experience working with children aged 11-16 in a supportive capacity
• Must hold a DBS or be willing to apply for one and register it to the update service
• Competitive pay rates in line with your responsibilities

The school are looking for a permanent solution and there will be an opportunity for progression and to even earn a permanent contract further down the line. The school would be interested in hearing from anyone with a background in Personal Care, and also those who have a background in Sports, as Sports Therapy and Physiotherapy have worked very well with this small group of learners in the past. However, the school are happy to utilise the additional skills of anyone happy to support with personal care.
